Does anyone know where the ground to frame is located on the Helix?   I have a starting problem and think it is caused by a corroded ground, somewhere.   My bike won't fire.  I can wiggle the green wire at the CDI connector, and it will start.   I have changed the CDI box ( I now have a total of 3 CDI boxes), pulse generator, stator, and spliced in a different connector plug at the CDI unit, but still have the same problem.   After wiggling the wire, the bike may run fine for an hour , a day, or 6 months, but the same problem keeps reoccuring.  If I unplug the wires from the CDI box and plug them into another CDI box, the bike will start.  Any manner of moving those wires and the bike starts right up.

I have thought this problem was fixed several times ( I have previous posts, describing my fixes, but they never worked long term!)
I am baffled!   Does anyone have any ideas about this problem?    I have tried to check the wires with an ohm meter, but the minute I move the wires, the bike starts and everything checks out ok.   When the bike is not fireing, and I try to check the wires, I can't get a good reading on them without moving them.

I have been fighting this problem for over a year now! Cry

Hi, I am also having the same problem, my scooter started acting up 3 montha ago, I checked the spark, It only fire after you let the start button go. All of the sudden it started up about a week ago and ran fine. Last night it decided it does not want to start. I checked the spark now it only fires when I let the start button go and then no spark at all. I thought about replacing the CDI module, Since I am not too sure that the CDI module is bad, I do not want to spend money on it. I was wondering about if you would sell me one of your CDI modules cheap.

Nope, never got it fixed, Helix still sitting in the garage. I just started to take the body panels apart to replace the wiring harness I bought from Craigslist. See what happen, I will have to buy a new CDI module it has rounded connectors.

If you beleive that a bad ground is occuring have you tried to install an extra ground wire.
If not try it.
Go from the battery to a solid, clean surface on the frame. This may seem like overkill but it may help.
